RETURNS & REFUNDS
1. Return Eligibility
All Chatpatate products are perishable food items and therefore are not eligible for return once delivered. Returns are strictly prohibited except in cases where the product received is damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete, and the issue is reported within 12 hours of delivery with a clear, continuous unboxing video showing the sealed package, order ID, and product condition in real time. The return shipment, if approved, must reach us within 3 calendar days from the date of delivery; failure to meet reporting timelines, provide video evidence, or return within the specified period automatically voids eligibility.
2. Condition Requirements
Any product approved for return must be unused, unopened, and in original condition with complete packaging intact exactly as received. Products that are opened, tampered with, consumed, mishandled, or improperly stored after delivery will not qualify for return or refund under any circumstances.
3. Return Shipping
All return shipping charges are solely the responsibility of the customer. The product must be shipped using a trackable and insured courier service, and valid proof of dispatch and delivery must be shared with us; failure to provide shipping proof nullifies the return claim.
4. Inspection & Refund Process
All returned products undergo a strict quality inspection upon receipt. If the return is approved, prepaid orders will be refunded to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after approval, excluding shipping charges. For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, refunds will be issued in the form of a digital store credit or discount code equivalent to the product value, valid for 30 days. If the return fails inspection due to policy non-compliance, the refund request shall stand rejected and the product may be shipped back at the customer’s expense if feasible.
5. Damaged, Incorrect or Missing Items
Any claim regarding damaged, missing or incorrect items must be reported within 12 hours of delivery along with mandatory unboxing video proof. Upon verification and approval, Chatpatate reserves the right to issue a replacement, store credit, or refund at its sole discretion. Claims raised beyond the reporting timeline or without sufficient evidence will not be entertained.
6. Lost Orders
If an order is marked as delivered by the courier but not received by the customer, an investigation will be initiated which may take up to 10–12 business days. If the shipment is confirmed as lost or returned to our warehouse after investigation, a refund will be processed within 24–72 hours of confirmation.
7. Policy Enforcement
Chatpatate reserves the absolute right to refuse returns, refunds, or claims in cases of repeated abuse, suspicious activity, or violation of this policy. Original shipping fees and return shipping costs are non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellations, returns, or rejected claims.
8. Product Storage Responsibility
All Chatpatate snacks must be stored in a cool, dry and hygienic place as instructed on the packaging. Improper storage, exposure to moisture, or negligent handling after delivery does not qualify for return or refund. Natural variations in seasoning, texture or appearance may occur due to ingredient characteristics and do not constitute product defects.
